TSA returns from one of our most successful Georgia Leadership…

As you probably know, our CVMS Technology Student Association just returned from one of our most successful Georgia Leadership Conferences where we competed in 21 of 32 possible events.  We had a large number of parents attending, 17, and our highest number of students ever, 18.

We were extremely successful this year, having won seven trophies, a third of our entered events.   We placed second in Problem Solving and Flight and third in Catapult Design, Tech Bowl, Children’s Stories, Inventions, and Essays on Technology.   We also made the finals in CAD Design, STEM Animation, Technical Design, Electrical Applications, Technology Debate, Medical Technology, Dragster Design, Career Prep, Leadership Strategies, Forensics, and Junior Solar Sprint.  Both of our Solar Sprint cars made the finals.

However, the award our team is most proud of is that our program placed 5th in the outstanding chapter results.   Considering these results are based on accumulated points and considering we only entered 2/3 of the competitions, this is a pretty awesome achievement.
